Black, gold, nude and lace.

Sunnies, Joe FreshContrasting Links Necklace (currently out of stock), Le Mode Accessories; Wrap cardi and Cool Racerback Tank, lululemon athletica; Nude lace-back tank, Dois Tempos (Brazil); Palazzo Pants, Beyond the Rack; Clogs, Wish Shoes (Brazil).

I love this necklace. I’m so glad I nabbed it off Le Mode, and have a ton of different outfit ideas in my head specifically for this necklace.

The pants, however? I’m struggling with. Mostly, I’m concerned that I will find one style of tank/shirt that goes well with the pants, and then I’ll create the exact same outfit over and over again. I bought these pants because they put me outside of my comfort zone, and I want to keep innovating and coming up with unique, individual outfits.

How would you style these pants? Would you find a formula that works and stick with it, or would you keep experimenting? Is the “outfit formula” a problem that you run into? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. The outfit formula problem is definitely one I run into. I know that formulas can be nice; a no-brainer way to get dressed in the morning, but I hate having items in my closet that can only be styled one way. It’s something I’m working through as I do my shop my closet/no shopping thing. I’m trying to only keep those items that are the most versatile.

That being said, I love this outfit but I have no suggestions. Wide-leg pants are hard.

    • That was one of the things I liked best about my first time trying Kendi’s 30 for 30… I threw in a few items that I’d never really thought of as versatile, and wound up getting a ton of use out of my least versatile clothing after having been forced into creativity.

I didn’t like it, though, ha.
