After heading to the pharmacy to pick up a package from Canada Post, I walked down the nail polish aisle and found steeply discounted nail polish. I was instantly drawn by this Monday’s manicure colour: Xtreme Wear Green with Envy by Sally Hansen.
This bright colour is incredibly low maintenance. It only took two coats (as is often not the case with brighter colours), went on smoothly, and I’ve been wearing it for a few days now and there isn’t a single chip. In fact, the bottle claims that you can wear the Xtreme Wear Nail Colour for seven days without needing to worry about chips, and I’ve found that to be accurate, at least for the five days I’ve been wearing it.
The brightness of the shade has definitely brightened my fingers, and is helping to tide me over until spring arrives.
And update on Silver Star by Gosh. This polish is incredibly difficult to remove. Takes a lot of elbow grease to get the sparkles off. It took me twice as long as normal, and three times as many acetone soaked cotton balls. Worth it for the effect, but I don’t think I’ll use it for anything but very special occasions from now on.
